Aroma of the Month April – Geranium Oil

April 02nd, 2016

Geranium

Geranium Oil

As we come to another period of seasonal change, I would like to share with you the properties of geranium oil.

Geranium is a balancing oil. As the seasons change, our equilibrium changes, geranium oil can help with rebalancing at this time.

The smell of geranium oil (pelargonium graveolens) is sweet and uplifting. I use it in my diffuser with bergamot oil (to balance and help reduce anxiety) or with grapefruit oil (to balance and uplift).

Geranium Oil is commonly used in aromatherapy for its many health benefits. It is used to balance hormones, help relieve stress and depression, reduce inflammation and irritation, improve the health of the skin, reduce the effects of menopause, improve circulation, boost kidney health, and reduce blood pressure.
