The Art of Stopping and Allowing Space.

August 09th, 2016

Relaxing and Reading

In this article aromatherapist and reflexologist Victoria Lily talks about how summer can be the perfect time to stop and spend some time adding space to your life.

‘Now that we are in the holiday season, I thought I would mention a lesson I learned a few years ago.

I was on holiday with a friend for a week. On the first day we got into the car and zipped about exploring different places as we often do on holiday. By the second day I had a really bad case of food poisoning and we could not go anywhere! The illness lasted almost all week but luckily my friend is happy just reading books.

We HAD to just stop and relax. Had this not happened I would probably still be zipping about on holidays and not leaving space for relaxation. Exploring is wonderful and eye opening and life enhancing, but it’s a great idea to just leave some space too. This is part of what our therapies are about and one brilliant way in which they can support you.

Time with a therapy practitioner is space for you. When we allow space into our lives we regain clarity of mind, creative thought processes, more peace and daily life becomes calmer. We all need space no matter how much we love our nearest and dearest.
