Julie has over 30 years experience working in the NHS in a variety of settings, and is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery council www.nmc-uk.org

In 1995 Julie worked in Australia, offering psychological support to war veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It was during this time that Julie became more interested in psychological approaches to care.

In 1997 Julie returned to the UK and worked as a community psychiatric nurse, registering as a specialist practitioner in community mental health nursing. Julie completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy at the University of East Anglia and is accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies www.babcp.com
