Many of us use different forms of exercise to keep fit during our lives. We may have tried running or swimming. Others train for cycling events, marathons or triathlons. There are opportunities for dancing, strength training and going to a gym. There’s something for everyone!
How do you know what’s right for you? You may enjoy a sense of discipline, pushing yourself hard, feeling good afterwards and seeing the benefits of your body changing. What if the time comes when you feel you need a change, though?
Yoga offers a pathway to wellbeing at whatever stage of life you are and whether you are a seasoned yogi or just thinking about getting started. By encouraging your body to move in a different way, a good yoga practice can complement your existing activities and give your body a chance to recover and release tension from the muscles you have been working. Yoga is a balance between achieving strength and mobility and sometimes it’s more about letting go. Learning how to sense your body and release tension as you practise is the key. This is different from many of the other activities we do in our lives!

I offer weekly classes in Melton and Martlesham Heath where you will feel supported and encouraged to get the most from your yoga practice. I also offer one to one yoga sessions at the Woodbridge Complementary Health Centre in Sandy Lane, Martlesham where I plan a yoga practice tailored to meet your needs.
