Ice Lollies
Here are three ice lollies created by Ella Woodward from her book Deliciously Ella. They can be made in minutes and will store quite happily for weeks in your freezer. The best thing is that they are full of vitamins and minerals, unlike the majority of shop bought lollies and children can have great fun making them too!
Ice Lollies (pick your flavour!)
Ingredients
Chocolate Ice Lollies
2 Medjool dates
2 ripe bananas
1 heaped tsp of raw cacao powder
2tblsp coconut milk
Strawberry Ice Lollies
2 Medjool dates
1 ripe banana
1 mug strawberries (200g)
2 tblsp coconut milk
Banana Cinnamon Ice Lollies
2 Medjool dates
2 ripe bananas
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tblsp coconut milk
Method
Simply remove the stones from the dates and peel the bananas. Then place the ingredients for your chosen flavour into a blender with 2 tablespoons of water and blend for a minute until smooth.
Pour into an ice lolly mould and freeze, doing the same for each flavour.
To make mixed ones, simply pour half of one flavour into a mould, allow it to freeze for an hour and then top the mould up with the second flavour.
The lollies need to freeze for about 5 hours before they are ready to be enjoyed!
