Deborah Lyttelton

Psychotherapist, Counsellor & Clinical Supervisor BA, UKCP Cert

Deborah provides a safe and confidential place to which you can bring whatever difficulties you are facing in your life. She is someone who is able to listen without judgement and provide open and honest feedback. In doing this she believes you can uncover your own resolution to whatever is troubling you.

Deborah aims to be primarily led by what you need from therapy. Her belief is that the therapeutic relationship is an important part of healing, giving you, the client, a place to address difficulties in your relationships with others, past and present.

Over the years, Deborah has worked with a wide range of issues, including: anxiety & depression, ill-health and disability, bereavement, relationship difficulties, problems at work, addictions and eating disorders.

Deborah has particular experience in working with people who are survivors of sexual or domestic violence (both women and men) whether as an adult or child. As well as her therapeutic work, in the past Deborah has been an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor and is currently the Chair of Suffolk Rape Crisis.

Deborah qualified as a counsellor (2004) and psychotherapist (2008) at a small integrative training organisation called Re-Vision. This was an intensive and hugely challenging process, which has developed her capacity to work with empathy, challenge and depth.

Prior to training as a therapist, Deborah worked in publishing and in the voluntary sector. As a psychotherapist she has worked in private practice, in the NHS and for specialist charities.  She offers short- and long-term weekly sessions on Tuesdays at the Centre and on other days (except Fridays) near Halesworth. She also works in London and provides clinical supervision to trainees and experienced counsellors and therapists. She offers online sessions for people who are unable to attend in person.
