Yoga Teacher, Izzy Ixer tells us what she has been up to in Lockdown

February 25th, 2021

My own yoga practice continues daily outside, even in the snow, and I’m enjoying some lovely warm practice sessions outside recently with the sunshine.  And fewer layers of clothing on!!  I’ve brought back into my repertoire several postures and breathing techniques which I had not practised for a while.

I’ve undertaken some CPD – yoga in pregnancy,  yoga for recovering after long Covid, Pranayama and Bandhas, clean language in coaching (that doesn’t mean no swearing)

My online classes and one to one sessions have continued on zoom and proved very popular with some people stepping up to weekly sessions.  It’s amazing how they have improved over lockdown!

I’ve completed nearly a year of yoga on the radio with Georgy Jamieson every Saturday since 23 March last year.  Yoga people can actually do!

I’m brushing up on my Italian skills too with Duolingo.  Beware – it’s very addictive!

Indoor cycling on the exercise bike a few times a week though less running at the moment.

Thank you for this, Izzy!  You’ve certainly been busy.  Hope to see you soon.

Where do I start?

Don't know where to start with complementary medicine.
